Watercolor media

For painting I provide three types of media in our course: watercolor paint, watercolor gouache paint, and acrylic paint.

Today, I provided the children with watercolor materials. Initially, I always allow them to explore the medium on their own without guidance. This approach helps them understand how watercolor behaves on paper and how to control the flow of paint onto the paper with their brushes, which is beneficial for developing their motor skills and patience in art.

For me, watercolor helps children achieve a state of calmness and meditation. I believe art looks its best when approached with patience, tranquility, and a peaceful heart.
